About Me

My name is Laura Rosser; I am trained in semi permanent make-up and was trained at the Louise Walsh academy for Purebeau international http://www.purebeau.co.uk/ I am also a registered nurse. I attended Art college for four years when I left school and have a Foundation degree in Art & Design which gives me the advantage of having an in depth knowledge of colour theory. I have since completed a beauty specialist diploma and I currently run an independent clinic in Neath town centre. I currently offer Semi Permanent Make Up procedures in Micro blading, hair stroke and feather stroke brows, block effect brows, eyeliner, eyeshadow, lipliner and lipstick. Trained in Microblading by the PHI Brows International Academy. Also trained in Scalp Micropigmentation with The Prestigious Scalp Micropigmentation Centre.

Within my service I offer a comprehensive consultation including eyebrow design, considering face shape and colour theory to compliment your own natural features. Semi Permanent make-up is a way of enhancing ones features and making the most of what we have using minimally invasive techniques. With semi permanent make-up you are able to wake up looking fresh faced and natural with the most subtle of finishes.

What is Semi Permanent Make-Up?

Semi Permanent Make up is a procedure to implant permanent pigment into the dermal layer of the skin to offer lasting enhancements or reconstruction of eyebrows, lip line, lip colour, beauty spot, eyeliner and eye line enhancement. It is classed as Semi-Permanent in some cases as it is expected that some maintenance will be required to achieve and maintain desired results. However I prefer to use the term Permanent Makeup as there is no guarantee that the pigment will fade completely. However the term 'semi' permanent makeup appears more widely accepted in the UK than other countries. Just as a regular tattoo will fade in time and is likely to be affected by exposure to UV rays; so is permanent make-up. It is hypo-allergenic and there are no fragrances, emollients or other ingredients added. You will however be required to complete a medical questionnaire and in some instances a patch test.

What to expect from a treatment.

Treatment takes between 60-120 minutes depending on the area being treated, this includes a comprehensive consultation and design service. An anaesthetic is applied to the area to provide minimal discomfort. You can choose between stunning smudge proof eyeliner, lipliner, full lipstick colour, a brow hair stimulation, eye lash enhancement, beauty mark/ spot or more defined block effect eyebrows. Hair loss can also be camouflaged with Scalp Micro Pigmentation. All of which will last up to 5 years depending on quality of aftercare. I use only fully certified pigments. You will be given comprehensive advice on aftercare and a product to aid the healing process. You will have access to ongoing telephone support should you have any concerns after your treatment.
